Does the society and the medical industry find it unethical for GPs to practice liposuction? what do you guys think? Do feel free to give your opinions! experiences are welcomed too! |

GP provide a "cheaper" solution to liposuction. If you compare the rates that a GP charge and a Plastic Surgeon charge, the differences is nearly half.
My dad always tell me "Penny wise Pound foolish", paying for a more experience and reputable PS often provide some form of guarantee as they have their reputation to uphold. Liposuction is a afterall a sugery, people actually die from it. Not to mention how many of such malpractices are just buried into dust. I still think MOH need to review who is allowed to conduct liposuction in Singapore. |

Not all GPs are bad, it is really up to you because not everyone can afford PS.

My friend had her liposuction done at a GP so far she is happy about it

Seriously...liposuction is an invasive procedure and should only be practised by licensed practitioners..results can be fatal if the doctor doesn't know what he's doing.
