Default Burberry Blue Label--How to tell a Fake from a Real ?

Hi Kelly,
I am a bag lover of Gucci, Coach and Burberry Blue Label (BBL)
Many threads on Authenticity Tips for Burberry, Couch, Gucci and LV have been posted here.
What about BBL ? Not that I have seen one but really would like to know how to tell by one look...

I love blue label too but not an expert when it come to Blue Label Burberry.

For Blue Label bags from what I observe is they will have a white tag with a serial number that match the serial number of the paper tag that comes with the bag which is blue. Serial number lists the materials used, says made in japan, and lists the manufacturer's name and address.

Second, it has a Blue label stitched inside and the BURBERRY is capitialized.

I have seen quite a few replica when I was in HK and I will post some pictures soon.

Picture speaks a thousand words

Question

Hi,
The Burberry tag is a dead giveaway. As Kelly mentioned, BURBERRY should CAPITALISED and also there's shouldnt be word "of" London. Just BURRBERY LONDON.
Another question for the experts: Some sellers say their BBL bags come with dustbag but I understand BBL store in Japan does not provide dustbags with the purchase. My sis bought a BBL for me from Japan in May08 and only have
a clear plastic bag and BBL paper bag. Thats all. So BBL bags got no dustbag, its right?

Hi, although I am not an expert in blue label but I have bought 2 blue label bags from Tokyo last year. BBL do come with dust bag if u buy from the BBL boutique. I believe ur sis has bought the BBL bag from those counters at major departmental stores. Those outlets will provide plastic bag and the BBL paper bag. I know bcos I bought one BBL bag from the boutique that comes with the dust bag and another one from leading departmental store as the boutique did not have the stock.

FYI, the dustbag comes in white, printed with the blue burberry icon on one side and has a blue ribbon to tie up the dustbag. Maybe next time will take a photo of the dustbag to show u.

I would suggest if u ever plan to go Japan to buy BBL bags, u should visit their boutiques and not the counters. There are more displays and catalogues for u to choose from. Excellent customer service ! The salesgirl even helped me carry my BBL bag and sent me to the doorstep.

Counters at dept stores have limited space so u wont get to see alot of designs. They store some of their bags and only will show u unless u requested for them.
